Virtual reality is gaining a lot of popularity in the industrial segment and in training applications, specifically. Performing the training and evaluation of employees in VR is a great solution for many reasons, especially with the opportunity to run testing as many times as needed without any added setup expense. However, performing training in VR has had a couple of flaws: How do you accurately know what the person is paying attention to? How can you really assess the person’s training performance if you don’t have an objective way to measure their process? In this presentation, I will talk about how eye tracking in VR will provide quick, objective data from the employees’ point of view, as well as how it can be used for real-time and post session feedback.
